Invoking
the clean and honest Barangay polls, the Local Officials should refrain for
using their party machineries, much more government resources in order to
support candidates in the barangay elections, as mandated by law, the barangay
election is non-partisan.
The political exercise of the small
unit the government is meant to change the local leadership that is corrupt and
to bring in new politics in the barangay government to produce new generation
of Barangay Official that may support our President in bringing and
implementing a new system of corrupt free government service to the people of
the barangay level.
The
few candidates warned the barangay folks to be alert of candidates who resort
to vote buying just to be elected into office and in the end it is the people
who will eventually lose as they will suffer the consequence of selling their
votes. Let’s discourage government official to endorse any candidate as lets
fully respect the will of the Filipino people, let the barangay people prevail.
Not because of the clout and monetary support coming from political policies
and public officials. It is more
fruitful for the local officials to help make sure that the democratic space shall
be preserve and the democratic exercise may also go peacefully and orderly, as
well as lawfully.
